Club Command (barrier 11) has not been seen at the races since he finished his autumn campaign in June but has impressive in two barrier trial appearances; recording a four length victory over 740 metres at Royal Randwick on November 21 before taking out a trial over 727 metres at the same venue on December 2.

The Commands gelding had a successful autumn campaign, which started with a second place finish in the Listed Thoroughbred Club Cup (1200m) and included a win in the TROA Championship Handicap (1410m) at Flemington as well as an unlucky third place finish behind Speediness and Parthian in the Listed Pink Ribbon Cup (1400m).

Another galloper set to return to the races in the 2014 Magic Millions Cup this weekend is Gerald Ryan-trained Snitsky, who has performed fairly in two barrier trials at Rosehill Gardens and Royal Randwick in the past three weeks.

Snitsky (barrier 13) recorded four wins in impressive fashion in 2012 but failed to return to his best form during his campaign in 2013; recording just one win, in the More Than Ready Handicap (1200m), from six race starts.

The only horse taking winning form into the Magic Millions Cup is Helen Page-trained General Exhibit who recorded a narrow victory over Signified and Excellantes in the QLD Barrier Trials On Sky Handicap (1200m) on December 21.

The consistent gelding has missed a placing in just three of his fifteen career starts but is yet to record a placing at Group level after finishing fourth in the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas (1200m) and 15th in the Group 2 Queensland Guineas (1400m) during the 2013 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival.

Veteran gelding Phelan Ready will be having his third crack at the Magic Millions Cup following his sixth place finish behind Bold Glance in 2011 and an unlucky seventh behind Triple Elegance in 2013.

Phelan Ready recorded his maiden race win when he took out the 2009 Magic Millions Classic (1200m) but has not scored a victory since he took out the 2009 Group 1 Golden Slipper at Rosehill Gardens in impressive fashion.

Tony Gollan-trained Gundy Son is also backing up from the 2013 Magic Millions Cup and connections are hoping that he can go one better than his second place finish in 2014.

Gundy Son started his summer campaign with relatively poor performances in the Group 3 George Moore Stakes (1200m) and Listed Lough Neagh Stakes (1350m) but returned to his best form with a fast-finishing second place finish behind Trombone Alley in the Listed Goldmarket Handicap (1300m) at the Gold Coast last weekend.
