2014 Chester Manifold Stakes Attracts 11 Acceptances

The final field and barrier draw has been released for the Listed Chester Manifold Stakes, which is due to run at Flemington Racecourse this Saturday January 11, 2014.

11 horses have accepted for a run in the $120,000 Chester Manifold Stakes, including Prairie Star.

Prairie Star has won four of his 16 race starts and has earned more than $378,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

The six-year-old is looking to post his first win since arriving in Australia from France in late 2012 when he runs in the 2014 Chester Manifold Stakes.

The Danny O’Brien-trained entire has not raced for almost 12 months, with his last run resulting in a sixth placing in the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes in February last year.

Prairie Star has drawn barrier the widest barrier of 11 for the 2014 Chester Manifold Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Oisin Murphy in the race.

Chase The Rainbow is also in the midst of a comeback campaign and will be second-up in the 2014 Chester Manifold Stakes.

His first run back resulted in a long last placing in the Listed Christmas Stakes at Caulfield on Boxing Day.

However, he will look to turn his form around in the 2014 Chester Manifold Stakes and reignite his proven ability.

Chase The Rainbow has drawn barrier one for the race and will be ridden by jockey Damien Lane.

The five-year-old has won four of his eight race starts and has earned more than $250,000 in prize money.
