Kevin Heffernan Stakes 2013 – Nominations

Linton has won seven of his 26 race starts and has earned more than $2.08 million in prize money during his horse racing career.

The seven-year-old will be out to post his first win of the spring in what will be his third-up run.

His most recent run resulted in an eighth placing in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap after he posted a fifth placing in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes the start prior.

Linton will be looking to replicate his autumn and winter form, which saw him win three Black Type races in a row, including the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap in June.

The Galileo gelding is trained by John Sadler at Flemington and will likely be ridden by regular jockey Jamie Mott in the race.

Also included in the 2013 Kevin Heffernan Stakes nominations is Platelet.

Platelet has won eight of her 22 race starts and has earned more than $1.09 million in prize money.

The Strategic mare won the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes two starts back before placing fifth in the Group 2 Caulfield Sprint last run.

Also included in the 2013 Kevin Heffernan Stakes nominations are Pinwheel and Famous Seamus.
