Eurozone has now won four of his six race starts and has earned more $290,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

Co-trainer James Cummings, who trains Eurozone with his grandfather Bart, was thrilled to see his galloper end his spring carnival campaign on a high.

“He paraded excellently here today,” the younger Cummings said.

“To be able to send him out on a winning note is great.

“He’s got a great will to win.

“I think he  vindicated what was a very good run in the Group 1 (last start).

“He goes out for a break now and he’ll come back a better horse in the autumn.

“He’s done a great job for the stables this colt and he can have a well-earned rest now.”

Eurozone was ridden by jockey Hugh Bowman in the 2013 Stan Fox Stakes in Sydney today.

“I anticipated to sit outside the lead,” Bowman said.

“He’s always raced better with cover.

“Today was his best performance for sure.

“I knew I had a little bit in the tank… but didn’t he fight.

“It’s just a great thrill to ride a horse that fights like that.”
