This led to Mr O’Ceirin claiming an easy two length victory ahead of fellow front runner Kesampour, who placed second, and third place-getter Bit Of Hell.

Trainer Ciaron Maher was excited to see Mr O’Ceirin win the 2013 Naturalism Stakes after placing second to Folding Gear last year.

“The conditions really suited him today,” Maher said.

“He went back down to Warnambool and just had a lead around on the beach.

“And he just freshened up really well.”

Maher is looking forward to seeing how Mr O’Ceirin perfroms in the 2013 Caulfield Cup on October 19, 2013, with his light weight of 52.5 kilograms.

“It’s good to get him in. He deserves his chance,” he said.

“He might have one more run (beforehand).”

Mr O’Ceirin was ridden by Glen Boss in today’s Naturalism Stakes.

“I’m happy when this horse draws wide because his first 200 metres isn’t his quickest horse,” Boss said.

“Once he got to the top of the hill, honestly it was all over.

“Geez he gave me a feel.

“I got rolling from about the 700 (metres), but even then I was thinking someone’s going to have to come (and challenge me).

“He really found another gear at the 100 metres. So he deserves his spot (in the Caulfield Cup) now.”
