Savvy Nature Wins 2013 Spring Stakes – Newcastle Results

Savvy Nature has won the Group 3 Spring Stakes at Newcastle Racecourse today September 18, 2013.

The five-year-old was too strong for the rest of the field, bursting through the pack in the final straight to secure the race.

Savvy Nature has now won two of his four race starts and has earned more than $117,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

Wordplay placed second in today’s 2013 Spring Stakes, while Happy Clapper finished in third position.

Savvy Nature was paying odds of $7 to win the 2013 Spring Stakes at Ladbrokes.com.au.

The Savabeel gelding is nominated for the $1 million Caulfield Guineas on October 12, 2013, where he will look to continue his impressive career.

Savvy Nature placed third in the $85,000 Rosehill Gardens Handicap in Sydney last start behind Stamina and Ball Point.

Ball Point went on to place an impressive third in the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes last weekend after being five lengths behind the second last runner on the home turn.

This form proves promising for Savvy Nature, who stepped up to the challenge in his first ever Black Type attempt at Newcastle today.

Savvy Nature is trained at Royal Randwick Racecourse by John O’Shea and has never missed a place during his four start career.
