Aussies Love Sports Wins Ming Dynasty Quality 2013

Aussies Love Sport has won the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality at Royal Randwick Racecourse today September 7, 2013.

The Redoute’s Choice colt won the race in impressive style ahead of Open Book, who finished second, and Champagne Cath, who was brave in third.

Aussies Love Sport has now won two of his six race starts and has earned more than $150,000 in prize money.

The three-year-old backed up his last start win in the $85,000 Dooleys Handicap at Rosehill Gardens on August 17 with today’s stunning 2013 Ming Dynasty Quality victory.

Gai Waterhouse’s stable representative, Mark Newman, was full of praise for Aussies Love Sport after the race was run.

“He’s a lovely colt,” Newman said.

“You wouldn’t get a better looking animal than him.”

Newman would not confirm or deny whether Aussies Love Sport will take his place in the $1 million Golden Rose at Rosehill Gardens next Saturday September 14, 2013.

“He’s still in the Golden Rose but Gai will decide,” he said.

“(It’s) hard to say no.”

Jim Cassidy was the jockey aboard Aussies Love Sport for today’s 2013 Ming Dynasty Quality win.

“I had a lot of petrol in the tank,” Cassidy said.

“I like this colt, he really let down nice and gave me a good feel. So I think he’s going somewhere.

“He’s still learning.”
