2013 Memsie Stakes Day – Caulfield Race Scratchings

The first race of Memsie Stakes Day 2013 is set to jump at 12.25pm at Caulfield Racecourse today and here you will find the latest scratchings information.

There have been a total of 14 scratchings throughout the day, including King Mufhasa in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes.

King Mufhasa could not make the trip from his home town of New Zealand to Australia due to not having completed the required blood checks to re-enter the country.

“Because he last raced in Hong Kong, Australia sees him as an imported horse coming back from Hong Kong through New Zealand,” said trainer Bruce Wallace.

“He’s had the blood test taken now and he should be all cleared by next Wednesday. It’s usually a four-day test.”

King Mufhasa has won 20 of his 61 race starts and has earned more than $3 million in prize money during his career.

Il Cavallo is also a notable late scratching from the Group 3 HDF McNeil Stakes.
