Miracles Of Life Favourite In McNeil Stakes 2013 Betting Market

Classy filly Miracles Of Life has been well backed to extend her unbeaten record when she resumes in the Group 3 McNeil Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on Saturday.

Miracles Of Life will be returning to the races for the first time since her famous victory in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) during the 2013 Melbourne Festival Of Racing and punters expect her to come back the way she went out, with her quote crunched into $2.80.

There are plenty of reasons for punters to get behind the daughter of Not A Single Doubt as she has won her two previous starts at Caulfield by a combined six lengths and proved that she can run out a strong 1200 metres in the Blue Diamond.

Prince Harada is the other horse in the 2013 McNeil Stakes betting market that has been heavily supported in the last twenty-four hours, with the undefeated colt into odds of $3.50.

The Tony Vasil-trained three-year-old has scored two impressive wins in as many starts and is considered a leading contender for the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) that will be run on October 12.

Following Miracles Of Life and Prince Harada in the McNeil Stakes odds are the only other horses available at single figures – Fast ‘N’ Rocking ($4.40) and Thermal Current ($9.50).

Fast ‘N’ Rocking has been labeled with the unwanted title of the best maiden in Australia after performing well at the highest level of racing without breaking through for a victory.

The Fastnet Rock colt was tracking into the Group 3 Vain Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on August 17 nicely but could not find a run in the final stages of the race before charging home late to finish a close second.

Thermal Current was the one time favourite for the 2013 Blue Diamond Stakes but was sent to the spelling paddock after he finished third behind Dissident in the Blue Diamond Preview (1000m) at Caulfield on Australia Day.

The Exceed And Excel colt started his three-year-old preparation with a narrow second in the Listed Lightning Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville and broke his maiden with a win on the Synthetic track at Geelong on August 16.

There is plenty of value to be found towards the bottom of the market with the undefeated trio of Za Moulin Rouge ($13), Pyrrolic ($16) and Orion ($61) all available at long odds.
