The rising five-year-old has won six of their 16 starts to date, their most recent turf triumph being over 1200m at Canterbury back in April.

While they haven’t won in the past four months they have been racing competitively including their most recent effort.

Racing at Warwick Farm on July 13 they jumped from the far outside barrier 14 and carried a hefty 58.5kg to come within a long neck of victory finishing second to Upshot in a Benchmark 85.

In an attempt to get some black type on their record Ryan will now send Snitsky over to Western Australia where they will likely make their Perth debut in the $80,000 Listed Belmont Newmarket (1200m) on August 10.

There they are a chance to meet last weekend’s H.G. Bolton Stakes winner Settle Strada who will run at Belmont Park before the $130,000 Hannan’s Handicap (1400m) at Kalgoorlie in September.

Lightly-raced entire Snitsky, owned by Darby Racing, left their Rosehill base on Monday afternoon with their flight to Perth booked for Wednesday.

Snitsky will stay on in WA racing a few more times over the next month and a half with other possible sprint targets at Belmont for them including the $80,000 Listed Goodwood Sprint (1300m) on August 24 and maybe another step up in distance for the $80,000 Listed Farnley Stakes (1400m) on September 7.

“He’s right in the zone at the moment after his short let up on the water walker and his narrow defeat at Warwick Farm, his work the other morning was the best he’s ever gone,” Darby Racing reported Ryan as saying this week.

After their Belmont Park runs Snitsky will then be prepared to step up to Group company at Ascot Racecourse during the Perth Festival of Racing where an ambitious grand final goal would be something like $500,000 Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) on November 23.

They would have to do some serious improving from now until then to be competitive in the 2013 Winterbottom Stakes however with the race set to attract a start studded line-up including defending champ Barakey, undefeated youngster Smoko and Brisbane warhorse Buffering just to name a few.
