Another big day of the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival takes place at Eagle Farm today with the card of course headed by the Group 1 2013 Queensland Oaks (2400m).
But the three-year-old fillies’ feature isn’t the only big race on the program, with the Group 2 2013 Queensland Guineas and the Group 2 2013 QTC Cup both serving as key lead-up races to next week’s Stradbroke Handicap.
Unfortunately some late week rain, a problematic Eagle Farm surface and gloomy skies in Brisbane today have the track rated a Slow 7.
Despite this, there have been limited scratchings across the day and the only horse out of the Queensland Oaks is Express Power who was withdrawn yesterday due to an elevated temperature.
