Platinum Kingdom has won nine of his 17 race starts and has earned more than $280,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

The Magnus gelding won the Group 3 Fred Best Classic at Doomben Racecourse by almost a length on May 18, 2013.

He will look to recreate that performance when he runs in the 2013 Queensland Guineas this weekend.

Platinum Kingdom is trained at Awapuni in New Zealand and will be having just his fourth race start in Australian when he lines up for the 2013 Queensland Guineas.

Also included in the 2013 Queensland Guineas nominations is Academus.

Academus has won three of his nine race starts and has earned more than $473,000 in prize money during his career.

The Lonhro gelding won the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas first-up this preparation, before going on to finish third in the Fred Best Classic behind Platinum Kingdom last start.

Academus, who is trained at Warwick Farm by Peter Snowden, will be having his third start for the winter in the 2013 Queensland Guineas.

Boban and Sizzling are also part of the 2013 Queensland Guineas nominations.
