2013 Glenlogan Park Stakes – Final Field and Barrier Draw

A quality field of fillies and mares has been announced to tackle the Group 3 2013 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) as part of a bumper Doomben card on Saturday.

Heading the full field of 16 plus five emergencies is Chris Waller’s in-form mare Arinosa.

The popular grey galloper will chase a third straight victory this weekend after winning both the Group 3 Brithday Card Stakes and the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes at the Sydney Autumn Carnival.

Also highly rated is Patinack’s Pear Tart who will be out to repeat her form of the 2012 winter carnival.

The daughter of Dehere was a Group 1 winner in last year’s Tattersall’s Tiara but has been unable to pass the post in front since then.

Having her second start for in-form Brisbane trainer Kelso Wood is More Strawberries. The former Gai Waterhouse-trained galloper will need to improve on a first-up 12th but is a four-time stakes winner.

The race is a traditional lead-up to next month’s Tattersall’s Tiara and a horse likely to be aimed at the race is Robert Heathcote-trained five-year-old Hidden Kisses.

The daughter of Hidden Dragon is still rising through the grades but has been in strong form without winning so far this campaign. She was third in her first-up assignment before going down narrowly to Cuddlesome at Eagle Farm last Saturday week.

Darley trainer Peter Snowden is a regular visitor to Queensland and has accepted with three runners. Quidnunc, Classics and Babel will all step out for the successful operation.

Others running in the Glenlogan Park Stakes include local hope Risk Aversion and Sydney mare Gai’s Choice who was a successful performer last winter.
