Blue Diamond winner Miracles Of Life has returned from a spell and has trainer Daniel Clarken oozing with confidence ahead of the 2013 Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.
A race such as the Group 1 2013 Coolmore Stud Stakes stands as likely goal for the Adelaide filly who is unbeaten from four starts.
The Not A Single Doubt filly was a class above her rivals in February when flying home to win the $1 million Blue Diamond by 1 1/2 lengths.
While many horses fail to take the next step after successful two-year-old careers, Clarken believes his stable star has what it takes.
He told Racing Victoria the youngster looks “absolutely sensational” and is excited about her spring chances.
“This time of year they generally come back with a bit of a coat but she looks super,” Clarken said
“I haven’t run her over the scales yet, I’ll do that tomorrow, but she’s certainly looks like she’s grown.”
Clarken is hoping to kick off the classy filly’s spring campaign in late August and is looking forward to getting back among the glitz and glamour of Melbourne racing.
He said the Coolmore Classic is definitely on the radar but is adamant the horse will tell him the right direction to take.
“We’re going to let her find her own depth the same way we did heading towards the Blue Diamond,” Clarken said.
Miracles Of Life’s victory in the Blue Diamond was one of the feel good stories of the spring, with apprentice jockey Lauren Stojakovic earning her chance to ride on the big stage and delivering on the day.
