Quintessential Headlines 2013 Premier’s Cup Nominations

32 horses have nominated for a spot in the Group 3 Premier’s Cup, which is scheduled to take place at Doomben Racecourse this Saturday May 20, 2013.

Amongst the Premier’s Cup nominations is Quintessential, who will be having her second start of the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival.

Quintessential won her most recent start in the Group 3 Chairman’s Handicap, which took place at Eagle Farm Racecourse on May 11.

The Fast ‘N’ Famous mare has won five of her 20 race starts in total and has earned more than $565,000 in prize money.

Quintessential is trained at Warwick Farm Racecourse by John Sargent and will be looking to post her fourth group title in the 2013 Premier’s Cup.

Ginga Dude is also part of the 2013 Premier’s Cup nominations.

The nine-year-old veteran will be out to win his first race starts since last year’s winter carnival, when he claimed victory in the Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup.

Ginga Dude has won 15 of his 58 race starts and has earned more than $1.2 million in prize money during his career.

His most recent result was an eighth placing in the Group 2 AD Hollindale Stakes at the Gold Coast earlier this month.

Hippous, Miss Artistic and Midsummer Sun are also included in the 2013 Premier’s Cup nominations.
