BRC Sprint 2013 Beting Update and Tips – Doomben

Shaping up as one of the best races of the day this Saturday is the Group 3 2013 BRC Sprint (1350m) which will take place as part of a bumper Doomben Cup day program.

In a seriously open betting market, the in-form Famous Seamus is a wide $5.50 favourite and only slightly ahead of Ready To Rip ($6).

Also under double figures are the well-backed Mahisara ($7.50), in-form Sydney speedster See The World ($7.50) and local grey mare Fire Up Fifi.

The chances don’t stop there, with plenty of quality horses at big odds including Kelso Wood-trained gelding Belltone ($11), the consistent River Lad ($11) and Sydney Group 3 winner Hot Snitzel ($11).

Need some help working out this open field of sprinters? Don’t worry as the form experts have been studying the form and replays to bring you our best selections.

The Winner

#4 River Lad $11

Ultra-consistent sprinter in great form. Hasn’t missed a place from his last four and was storming home down the outside in the Prime Minister’s Cup. Drawn perfectly in barrier four and will appreciate the slight rise in distance. Should slot into a good position behind the speed and will be storming home.

#11 Belltone $11

His first-up fifth in the Prime Minister’s Cup was only fair but he can improve here as that was off a six-month break. Was the run of the race when fifth in this last year and has a plum barrier six draw here. A proven stakes performer from the stable of Kelso Wood who always has his charges firing at carnival time.

#16 Fire Up Fifi $8

Going for a Queensland trifecta in this race. The Robert Heathcote-trained mare is one of the most consistent horses in the state and if she repeats her fast-finishing Prime Minister’s Cup third she should be in the top three.

It doesn’t matter who you fancy on Doomben Cup day, sensational odds can be found at preferred bookie –

There has never been a better time to join the Australian-owned bookie as right now they are rewarding new customers with a winter boost of a $500 bonus bet offer!
