While the stayers will be stepping up to the two miles in one of the few 3200m races in Australia for the $150,000 Listed Andrew Ramsden Stakes, the short distance specialists will face off in the $120,000 Listed The Straight Six (1200m) which is due to run as Flemington Race 7 at 3:32pm (AEST).

Heading The Straight Six field and weights this year is the Joe Pride-trained Title who will carry an imposing 60kg from barrier one with Dwayne Dunn to ride.

The Honours List six-year-old was unplaced in their first two Group 1 runs this time in when sixth to Bel Sprinter in The Galaxy and eighth to Black Caviar in the TJ Smith Stakes but improve dlast time out when fourth in the Listed Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on April 27.

The next heaviest weighted hopefuls are then the out of form Shellscrape (59kg) and Kyneton galloper Utah Saints (56.5kg) out to improve on their ninth to Famous Seamus in the Prime Minister’s Cup at the Gold Coast earlier in the month.

Despite their big weight Title is sure to start as one of the top fancies on Saturday especially after their favourable draw.

Another likely favourite is then the Colin & Cindy Alderson-trained Snippetson four-year-old That’s The One in barrier nine with ace hoop Glen Boss to ride.

The always honest sprinter has run second in their last two runs most recently in a Listed race at Warrnambool on May 1.

Other notable hopes then include Ballarat runner By The Way racing for the first time since January, the John Hyam-trained Petman from Adelaide, six-year-old grey Dash For Viz who was third in the Warrnambool race behind winner Second Effort and runner-up That’s The One, and Mister Milton who was second over this track and distance on Anzac Day.
