Trainer Darryl Hansen could not hide his excitement following Vo Heart’s 2013 Champagne Classic win.

“He’s just done  lot of things wrong and he’s just finally starting to put it together,” Hansen said.

“I needed something to happen and this is the one.”

Vo Heart was ridden by jockey Eddie Wilkinson in today’s 2013 Champagne Classic.

“I was really happy to see the rain come,” Wilkinson said.

“He relished it.

“He’s a big strong horse.

“It’s going to be bordering on heavy now.

“Unfortunately for some of the participants they won’t be happy with it.”

Wilkinson was quick to thank Vo Heart’s connections for keeping his aboard the galloper.

“I’d like to thank these owners. They’ve supported me,” he said.

Vo Heart will not head towards the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Doomben Racecourse on May 25, 2013.

“We’re pressing on to the Sires’,” confirmed Wilkinson.
