2013 All Aged Stakes Nominations Feature All Too Hard

As expected, superstar colt All Too Hard heads nominations for the Group 1 2013 All Aged Stakes (1400m) which will take place at Randwick on Saturday.

The three-year-old is set to start as favourite in his final Australian start and trainer John Hawkes is confident he can continue his strong early season form.

“We’re pleased with him, it will be good to see him back on Saturday,” Hawkes said.

All Too Hard hasn’t raced since February when he won the Group 1 Futurity Stakes and the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes in Melbourne.

He faces a tougher assignment here though and included in nominations is glamour mare More Joyous.

The six-year-old will be out to bounce back after getting caught in awkward position in the Queen Of The Turf Stakes.

Prior to that the winner of 21 of 32 starts was second to Pierro in the Canterbury Stakes.

Also out to knock off All Too Hard will be Joe Pride-trained front-runner Rain Affair who was fourth in both the Canterbury Stakes and the TJ Smith.

Coming off a big first-up run in the TJ Smith is Epaulette who was second to Black Caviar and is likely to be aimed at the Stradbroke Handicap at the Brisbane Winter Carnival.

There is no shortage of depth in the All Aged nominations, with the likes of Fiorente, Happy Trails, Sea Siren, Rangirangdoo, Hay List and Arinosa also included.

Chris Waller-trained mare Arinosa has been one of the surprise packets to emerge this autumn, going unbeaten in three starts including a 4 1/2 length romp in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes.
