Global Balance Wins 2013 Auraria Stakes – Morphettville Results

Global Balance has taken out the 2013 Auraria Stakes in a photo finish at Morphettville Racecourse today.

The three-year-old won the race by a nose in front of race favourite Maybe Discreet, who placed second, and Swinging Soldier, who passed the post in third.

It was the first Group win for Global Balance, who won the Listed Tasmanian Oaks at Launceston racecourse last start.

Global Balance has now won two of her five race starts and has earned close to $150,000 in prize money during her short career.

The Redoute’s Choice three-year-old is trained by David Hayes at Flemington and was having her very first start at Morphettville in today’s 2013 Auraria Stakes, which is also known as The Schweppervescence.
