Two Word 2013 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes Form Analysis

Gai Waterhouse’s Golden Slipper winner Overreach may be the odds-on favourite and obvious two-year-old to beat in this Saturday’s ATC Sires Produce Stakes 2013 but there are still 11 other youngsters in the mix for the Australian Derby Day clash with our two-word form guide on the full field found below.

Kicking off the Group 1 racing action at the meeting as Randwick Race 5 at 2:30pm (AEST) this year’s $500,000 Group 1 Inglis Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) features 13 hopefuls with Exceed And Excel filly Overreach odds-on at $1.60 to secure her second Group 1 following a smashing effort in the Golden Slipper just seven days earlier.

Overreach really is the benchmark juvenile this season having won all three of her assignments and looking on track to emulate star older stablemate Pierro in winning the Autumn 2YO Triple Crown continuing with the second leg this Saturday.

Still it is always worth considering the rivals in a race where favourites and fillies have a less than impressive record, and there’s always those place bets to make in the Sires Produce Stakes betting markets too.

To save you time going over the entire 2013 ATC Sires Produce Stakes field and form guide below we’ve concisely, and hopefully accurately, summed up the chances of each horse in just two words to cut through the crap and have you cleaning out the bookies quicker!

  • #1 CHARLIE BOY ($26) – Place Chance
  • #2 CHAMPOLLION ($41) – Group Winner
  • #3 WINDJAMMER ($31) – Market Mover
  • #4 HAVANA ($26) – Right Distance
  • #5 SO MAN UP ($16) – Debut Winner
  • #6 DRAGO ($71) – Not Yet
  • #7 OVERREACH ($1.60) – Slipper Champion
  • #8 GUELPH ($11) – Slipper Fourth
  • #9 VILLA VERDE ($11) – Form Return?
  • #10 SCANDIVA ($26) – Two Straight
  • #11 SHAHAD ($26) – Needs Dry
  • #12 THUMP ($34 – Perfect Draw
  • #13 FLORID AFFAIR ($10) – Waterhouse’s Other

Think Overreach will salute for the Derby Day punters? Or fancy an upset Sires Produce Stakes result from another young up-and-comer? Whichever way you’re punting this weekend ensure you don’t settle for inferior odds by betting online every time with!
