The Commands mare won the 2013 Queen Of The Turf Stakes by half a length ahead of Red Tracer, who placed second, and Streama, who finished third.

More Joyous appeared poised to strike coming into the final straight, however, could not squeeze past Hugh Bowman and Streama and was completely blocked for a run.

The six-year-old was forced to be content with fifth placing after pulling to the outside.

While More Joyous was left out of the placing, Appearance flew through the field to post her third Group 1 win in the 2013 Queen Of The Turf Stakes.

Appearance has now won seven of her 14 race starts and has earned more than $1.35 million in prize money during her career.

The four-year-old was paying odds of $10 to win the 2013 Queen Of The Turf Stakes at

Trainer Guy Walter was wrapped with Appearance’s latest Group 1 win.

“What a fabulous mare she is,” Walter said.

“She just keeps winning.

“She probably hasn’t had the acclaim she deserves because she doesn’t win by far.

“It’s very satisfying for me to win for Darley.”

Walter will now discuss whether to contest the Group 1 Doncaster Mile on April 20, 2013.

“We’ll have to talk it over,” he said.

“She’s in the Doncaster obviously. She’s got a light weight and it would be very tempting to run.”

Darley Manager, Henry Plumptre, was over the moon with Appearance’s efforts.

“She’s been amazing.

“She just keeps stepping up.”

Jockey Kerrin McEvoy rode Appearance in today’s 2013 Queen Of The Turf Stakes.

“It’s good to get one for Guy (Walter),” McEvoy said.

“She’s beaten a nice field there again.

“I was worried how the race was going to unfold.

“(But) she was strong to the line.

“It’s nice to get a big winner on the day.”
