Bring A Ring Included in 2013 Breeders’ Stakes Field – Morphetville Races

While all eyes will be on Rosehill this Saturday for the Golden Slipper day action, there is still some exciting racing in other parts of the country including at Morphetville which plays host to the Group 3 2013 Breeders’ Stakes (1200m).

Attracting plenty of hype and likely to start among the favourites is Tony McEvoy’s exciting filly Bring A Ring.

The two-year-old burst on to the scene to win by 1 1/2 lengths on debut at Morphetville Parks and dominated the Listed Sportingbet Stakes by 2 1/2 lengths last month.

McEvoy was quick to praise the filly’s will to win following her most recent victory, suggesting there are bigger things to come.

“What I really like about this filly is that she comes to run on race day,” McEvoy said after the Sportingbet Stakes.

“Her will to win is incredible and today she was super impressive with the turn of foot she displayed over the last 300 metres.

“It was a good class race today and I was delighted with the way she rose to the challenge.”

Travelling from Victoria to contest the $115,000 sprint is Danny O’Brien-trained colt Excitable Boy who won the Listed Festival Of Racing 1000 at Flemington on March 2.

At his most recent outing he showed his ability over 1200m to finish third to Cruden Bay in the Listed St Albans Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Stepping up in class after a debut win is Exodus who claimed victory at Morphetville Parks on March 9.

Also coming off a last-start victory is Abba who also rises in grade after a convincing win at Balaklava on March 20.

Tennessee Groom has signalled potential on debut in Feburary when wunning second at Morphetville.

Others in the field include last-start placegetter Murtle Turtle, Chris Bieg’s Excites Zelady and John Cornell’s Run Like Reaan.
