The three-year-old High Chaparral colt enjoyed their maiden
Group 1 victory during the spring after travelling across the Tasman to enjoy a
smart four straight winning streak that culminated with a win in the Spring
Champion Stakes.

They resumed racing for the autumn at the start of the month
to run fourth to superstar Pierro in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) in
the wet before scoring their second elite level trophy on March 16 with a
classy win over another Gai Waterhouse-trained three-year-old, Proisir, in the
Randwick Guineas over the Warwick Farm mile.

This Saturday they will step up to 2000m when they vie for
the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival’s
Guineas double in the $500,000 Group 1 Rosehill

It’s A Dundeel was one of 10 hopefuls nominated for the
Rosehill Guineas 2013 and one of three last-start winners among the early
entries along with the John O’Shea-trained
unknown Twisted Emotions who is
after their third straight win after victories at Goulburn and Gosford, and Hvasstan.

Peter Gelagotis
talented Fastnet Rock colt Hvasstan has had three runs this time in.

Last start they backed up from a brave fourth in the
Australian Guineas over the Flemington mile to win the Group 2 Alister Clark
Stakes (2040m) under the lights at Moonee Valley.

Saturday they race over the same distance this time in Sydney
for their interstate debut which Gelagotis is confident they will do well in.

“He’s ready to
rock and roll. He didn’t have a hard run in the Alister Clark and he’s ticking
all the boxes perfectly,” Gelagotis said.

“He’ll head
to Sydney later in the week and all going well on Saturday he’ll stay up there
for the Australian Derby (on April 13).

“I reckon our horse is equal to Super Cool and
Fiveandahalfstar, not a doubt in my mind and they’re the benchmark so far.

“I’m not scared
of taking on anyone. Those horses have got to stay and we can stay, there’s
still that question mark on some of his opposition.”

The other headline nomine for this year’s Randwick Guineas
is then one of the horses Gelagotis mentioned, Anthony Cummings’ Victoria Derby winner Fiveandahalfstar.

The perennial runner-up this carnival the hotel Grand
gelding has had four starts for as many second place finishes including to
Super Cool in the Australian Cup and then last Saturday at Rosehill when
defeated by upset winner Foreteller in the Ranvet Stakes over the 2000m.

Also in the mix are Chris
’s Group 1 winning Kiwi mare Sacred
coming off a fifth in the Randwick Guineas and the Peter Snowden-trained duo of Tatra and Solemn.
