A huge day of racing will take place at Rosehill on Saturday and one of the highlights on the program is the Group 1 2013 Coolmore Classic (1500m).
A classy field of fillies and mares will contest the $600,000 event, with the market currently headed by three-year-old Norzita ($5) and John O’Shea-trained mare Steps In Time ($5.50).
In what is an open betting market, three-year-old fillies are prominent. Occupying the third line of betting is Crown Oaks winner Dear Demi ($7) who is ahead of fellow fillies Bennetta ($7.50) and Flying Snitzel ($9).
There is no shortage of quality in the market and value may be found at double figures with well-regarded mares such as Streama ($13), Red Tracer ($13) and Appearance ($13).
Not sure who to back in this hot race? Keep reading as the Races.com.au team have been studying the form and replays closely to bring you our very best selections.
#6 Dear Demi $7
Drawn handily enough in barrier nine, Dear Demi brings terrific form into the race.
Coming off a strong Surround Stakes win she has won at the distance before and is in well at the weights with 54.5kg.
Has class and is third-up and fit and ready for this.
These two quinellad the Millie Fox Stakes and are capable of running another big race here.
Red Tracer is one of the most consistent mares in the country, having won 10 times and placed another nine from 24 starts. She’s third-up so rock-hard fit and ready for this.
Queensland mare Risk Aversion surprised plenty when taking Red Tracer all the way to the line in the Millie Fox and is certainly a talented horse on the up.
Gets in well at the weights with 52kg and a bit of luck in running should see her fly home.
