The More Than Ready two-year-old bounced back from an eighth-place finish in the Silver Slipper to win by a length from Thump and Greytfilly.

The youngster clearly appreciated the dry Warwick Farm surface, coming home fast over the top of her rivals.

O’Shea is excited to have a confirmed Golden Slipper runner and is confident there is improvement to come ahead of the world’s richest two-year-old race.

“We haven’t really bottomed her out. You might have to give some consideration to toying with some gear,” O’Shea said.

“I’d probably like to see her a little bit closer in the Slipper.

“Whether we put a set of winkers on her just to help a little bit to get a forward position. But I was very happy with her. She ran a strong six [furlongs] and was strong through the line.”

James McDonald has ridden Romantic Moon in all three of her career starts and believes she is well on her way into developing into a quality racehorse.

“She’s push button,” McDonald said.

“She feels a beautiful filly and she’s one in the making anyway.”

Odds-on favourite Assail began poorly before getting caught third last and buried between runners.

Peter Robl tried hard to find her a run in the straight but she was never in the race, eventually finishing in sixth position.
