Good Job Bro Tops 2013 Skyline Stakes Betting Odds

John Sargent’s colt Good Job Bro will start as favourite in the Group 3 2013 Skyline Stakes (1200m) as he continues his march towards the 2013 Golden Slipper.

The son of Choisir is the $3.40 top elect in the bookmaker.com.au market and his form suggests he deserves the position.

Good Job Bro opened his career with two runner-up finishes in January before stepping things up a gear last month to win the Darby Racing Handicap at Warwick Farm by three lengths.

Occupying the second of line of betting is Fuerza ($4.20) who has signalled plenty of potential in two starts to date.

The Bjorn Baker-trained colt was second to highly impressive stablemate Twilight Royale on debut in December and was beaten a short head in the $250,000 Inglis Classic in January.

Sharing the third line of betting at $6 are Dothraki and All The Talk.

Gerald Ryan-trained colt Dothraki was a winner at his last start in late December while All The Talk is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Silver Slipper.

Prior to that the Stratum colt had won once and secured minor placings on two other occasions from three starts.

The only other runner under double figures is Peter Moody’s unraced colt Mahican ($6.50) who has had two trials to prepare him for his debut.

The son of More Than Ready defeated Dothraki in a trial at Rosehill on March 5.

Travelling south from Queensland for the race is Kelly Schweida’s colt Octane Flyer ($16) who won on debut in October and finished second at his only other start at Doomben later that month.

Other Skyline Stakes runners include the Darley-owned Citations ($17), David Payne’s colt Regimental Pride ($18) and the unraced Kirov ($26).
