There are 14 smart gallopers engaged in this year’s edition of the $350,000 Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) which is scheduled to run as Warwick Farm Race 6 at 4:20pm (AEST).

In a tight market it is defending Chipping Norton Stakes winner Shoot Out, drawn nicely in gate two as one of six fancies for Chris Waller, who is ahead in the markets at a current quote of $5 to go back-to-back in the autumn classic.

The High Chaparral six-year-old, who runs first-up since their fifth in the Cox Plate, has four Group 1 trophies already in the cabinet and won the Group 1 George Main Stakes first-up over the mile in Sydney last time in.

Other single-figure fancies in the Chipping Norton Stakes odds then include Peter Moody’s resuming star from last autumn Manighar ($5.50) and Kiwi mare Silent Achiever ($6.50).

So where should your money be at this weekend? Which are the horses to back and sack in the Chipping Norton?
