2013 Australian Guineas Field Update – All Too Hard Tops First Acceptances

There are still 25 horses in the running for a place in the 2013 Australian Guineas final field, which will be released this Wednesday.

The Group 1 Australian Guineas is due to take place at Flemington racecourse this Saturday March 2, 2013, and has a capacity field of 16 horses.

All Too Hard will back up in the 2013 Australian Guineas after winning the Group 1 Futurity Stakes at Caulfield Racecourse last Saturday.

The three-year-old won the race by an impressive three lengths on that occasion, and will be looking to claim his fourth Group 1 victory when he lines up for this weekend’s race.

All Too Hard has been allocated 56.5 kilograms for the 2013 Australian Guineas and is expected to be ridden by regular jockey Dwayne Dunn.

Dunn feels that All Too Hard is only beginning to show his true talent as he makes his way through the autumn carnival.

“Everything he did at two was just on raw ability,” Dunn said.

“We always knew he would not come into his own until he was a three-year-old.

“You are seeing it now, but I think there is better to come.”

Super Cool will look to upset All Too Hard’s unbeaten autumn campaign in the 2013 Australian Guineas after his last start win.

The Fastnet Rock gelding won the Group 2 Autumn Classic at Caulfield last weekend by a length ahead of old rival Fiveandahalfstar.

Super Cool has claimed three wins from eight starts and has earned just shy of $600,000 in prize money.
