Blue Diamond Stakes Day 2013 – Caulfield Scratchings

It’s one of the biggest days of the 2013 Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival and the punters are expected to flock to the track for 2013 Blue Diamond Stakes Day.

Apart from the $1 million Blue Diamond for two-year-olds, there are two other Group 1 races, with star colt All Too Hard heading the $500,000 2013 Futurity Stakes and a hot field of sprinters set to line up in the 2013 Oakleigh Plate (1100m).

There are nine races on the action-packed program and other highlights include the Group 2 2013 Peter Young Stakes (1100m) which features a number of Australian Cup hopefuls and the Group 2 2013 Autumn Classic (1800m) for three-year-olds.

The good news is Melbourne has turned on brilliant conditions for racing with the sun shining down and the track rated a dead 4.

This means there have been very few scratchings across the entire day and the main features have been almost completely unaffected.
