The son of Elvstroem will be running first-up after an indifferent spring campaign.

He was oustanding in his first three starts including winning the Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap before contracting an illness which saw him well beaten towards the back of the field in both the Group 3 Bobbie Lewis and the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.

Travelling south from Queensland for the the hit-out is Desleigh Forster-trained gelding Adebisi who is coming off a win in the Listed Razor Sharp Quality at Warwick Farm in December.

The five-year-old is a natural front-runner and will ensure the race is run at a strong tempo with top jockey Craig Williams in the saddle.

Bringing strong form into the race is Rescue Mission who has won twice and recorded two seconds from his last four starts.

However, the son of Darci Brahma will have to handle a step up in class after his last start win came in restricted class at Caulfield.

Out to back up a third-place finish at Group 2 level in the Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley two weeks ago is Outlandish Lad.

The sometimes inconsistent gelding is a proven stakes performer, having taken out the Group 3 DC McKay at Morphetville last year.

Mr Milton is another runner who can be inconsistent but is more than up to this level if he performs to his best.

The four-year-old finished fourth in a hot field in the Group 2 Memsie Stakes during the Spring Carnival. preferred bookie,, will have terrific odds on all the exciting Caulfield action this weekend.
