The speculation over who will ride 2013 Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Miracles Of Life in the $1 million two-year-old race has ended with regular jockey Lauren Stojakovic confirmed for the prized job.
Stojakovic has partnered the exciting Adelaide filly in all three starts of her career but was only confirmed for the big task today.
Many jockeys had expressed an interest in the ride but owner Muzaffaer Yaseen put an end to any queries.
Yaseen’s spokesperson and racing manager Iris O’Farrell said the Sri Lankan millionaire has faith in Stojakovic to continue her successful partnership with the daughter of Not A Single Doubt.
Miracles Of Life is a $3.20 Blue Diamond favourite at bookmaker.com.au to win the Caulfield feature on February 23 despite the fact connections are yet to pay the $55,000 late entry fee.
The final day for horses not entered to pay their way in is February 18.
Miracles Of Life has been a standout performer since debuting at Morphetville in December.
She won on that day by 5 1/2 lengths before confirming her talents with a nine-length walloping of her rivals again at her home track in January.
With her ability obvious, trainer Daniel Clarken decided to test her against better competition on January 26 by taking her to Caulfield for the Blue Diamond Fillies’ Preview.
But even against Listed competition nothing could get near the exciting filly as she shot into clear Blue Diamond favouritism with a flying 4 1/2 length win.
In the Blue Diamond market only four other runners fall under double figures with Darley filly Guelph the next best at $6.
Guelph was an impressive last-start winner in the Vinery Plate at Warwick Farm and will cotnest the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude for fillies at Caulfield on Saturday.
