Nominations Announced – 2013 Tasmanian Derby

The 2013 Tasmanian Derby is set to run at Hobart racecourse this Sunday February 3, 2013, and here you will find the latest nominations for the race.

A total of 10 horses have nominated for 2013 Tasmanian Derby, including Kenjorwood.

Kenjorwood is trained by Darren Kenny at Spreyton and will be attempting to win over the 2,200 metre distance for the first time, with his only previous victory coming at 1,100 metres.

The three-year-old has won one of his 10 race starts and has earned more than $88,000 in prize money during his short horse racing career.

Purchased for just $41,000 from the Tasmanian Magic Millions Sale in 2011, Kenjorwood has already doubled his worth with his previous race success.

He will be looking to claim his first Black Type win when he competes in the 2013 Tasmanian Derby this Sunday.

Also included in the 2013 Tasmanian Derby nominations is Keep The Cash.

Keep The Cash has won three of his 10 race starts and has earned more than $59,000 in prize money so far.

His most recent result was a fourth placing at Hobart on January 20, 2013, in the Listed Hobart Guineas behind What Life Brings.

Keep The Cash will now be looking to go three places better when he lines up for the 2013 Tasmanian Derby this weekend.
