Listed Elwick 2YO Stakes 2013 – Nominations

Nominations have been announced for the Listed Elwick 2YO Stakes, which will take place this Sunday February 3, 2013, at Hobart racecourse.

10 juveniles have been nominated for 2013 Elwick 2YO Stakes, including Grand Tycoon.

The two-year-old has won all four of his race starts and has earned more than $70,000 in prize money so far.

Grand Tycoon won his most recent race start in the a 1,100 metre handicap at Launceston on January 16, 2013, and will be stepping up to Listed level for the first time in his horse racing career.

The Written Tycoon gelding is trained at Spreyton by Barry Campbell and will be looking to continue his unbeaten race record in the 2013 Elwick 2YO Stakes.

Also included in the 2013 Elwick 2YO Stakes nominations is Geegees Velvet.

Geegees Velvet will be having just his second race start in the 2013 Elwick 2YO Stakes after placing second at Launceston on debut.

Stablemate Geegees Style is also one of the 10 nominees for the 2013 Elwick 2YO Stakes this Sunday.

The Wordsmith gelding will be searching for his first race win after two attempts at racing in 2013.

Geegees Velvet and Geegees Style are both trained at Brighton by trainer John Luttrell.
