Anthony Cummings untapped filly She’s A Fox has made a full recovery from the injuries that cut short her spring and is back in work ahead of a 2013 Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival campaign that could feature a tilt at the Group 1 2013 Galaxy (1100m).
The three-year-old has been back in work for almost a month and while she won’t be seen until late in the autumn, Cummings is setting the bar high with the raw youngster.
“At the top of the wish list, she could start first-up in The Galaxy,” Cummings told Sky Radio.
“That could be a suitable start point. If we choose to take a more conservative view she could go into some fillies’ races about the same time.”
She’s A Fox shot into Golden Rose favouritism prior to being ruled out of the spring after two dominant wins at Warwick Farm in July and August.
The daughter of Fastnet Rock won the $85,000 Optus sprint by four lengths before stepping up to stakes level with just as much dominance to claim the Listed Rosebud by 3 1/2 lengths.
She’s A Fox is a part of a strong team of Cummings-trained three-year-olds that also includes Group-placed galloper Your Song.
The Fastnet rock colt has not yet returned to work and Cummings said he will be aimed at the latter part of the autumn and the 2013 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival.
“His campaign is aimed more towards the later autumn and then in Queensland,” he said.
Depending on how Your Song comes back he could be aimed at some of Queensland’s biggest races including the Group 1 2013 BTC Cup and the Group 1 2013 Doomben 10,000.
