I’m Too Sexy Impresses in Trial Ahead of 2013 Magic Millions Classic

Promising 2013 Magic Millions Classic (1200m) candidate I’m Too Sexy has impressed with a three-length win in a trial at the Gold Coast today.

The Mark Riley-trained filly tops the order of entry for the $2 million juvenile race on the back of her win in the Clockwise Classic at Ballarat and showcased her ability in her first Queensland hitout this morning.

With Luke Currie in the saddle, the daughter of Rean beat home her rivals by three lengths in the trial ahead of her next raceday test which will come in the Group 3 2012 BJ McLachlan Plate (1200m) at Doomben on December 29.

The exciting prospect already boasts a prize pool of $122,000 after leading from start to finish in her debut test in the Clockwise Classic to win by three lengths ahead of Ticket To Toorak.

She is currently rated a $21 chance in the bookmaker.com.au Magic Millions Classic market with Chris Waller’s Champagne Cath topping the betting at $10.

Riley told Racing Victoria I’m Too Sexy needed this morning’s hitout but said she was acclimatising well to the often harsh Queensland summer weather.

“We wanted to trial today and gave her a good hit out right to the line which she needed,” Riley said.

“I’m glad that we’ve come up here earlier because the humidity up here is quite stifling for them and they’ve got to adjust to it which she is doing fine.”

Riley believes the filly, who is yet to be tested beyond 1000m, is likely to be more suited to the Magic Millions Classic distance of 1200m.

“I honestly think she is looking for the 1200,” he said.
