Magic Millions Classic 2013 Order Of Entry and Nominations

Impressive Ballarat Magic Millions Clockwise Classic winner I’m Too Sexy heads the order of entry of 43 horses nominated for January’s $2 million 2013 Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) on the Gold Coast.

Whittington

Whittington is one of the top nominations for the Magic Millions Classic

The Mark Riley-trained juvenile was on debut but was far too strong for her rivals as she bolted home for a three-length win ahead of Ticket To Toorak and Gracious Prospect.

As is usually the case, there is a strong Gai Waterhouse presence among nominations and horses from her stable occupy the second and third spots in the order of entry.

Snitzel filly Sweet Idea won on debut in the TAB Spring Plate at Randwick in October and backed it up last month to finish second in the Lidoran Group Plate at Rosehill.

Whittingon was particularly impressive on debut at Randwick in October in the NSW Thoroughbred Breeders Plate where he beat stablemate War by three lengths.

Also high up in the order of entry is Geelong-based gelding Change Of Honour who won the Sportingbet Plate by nearly a length at Caulfield on Saturday.

One of the more impressive nominations to date is Queensland filly Missy Longstockings who currently sits at 11th in the order of entry.

The Liam Birchley-trained filly gave her rivals a six-length walloping on debut at Toowoomba in October and backed it up in early November with a seven-length win at Eagle Farm.

Punters will get a further look at the daughter of Sequalo this weekend when she contests the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes (1000m) at Eagle Farm.

Others included in Magic Millions Classic nominations are well-regarded Gai Waterhouse-trained colt Rockford, the Robert Heathcote-trained Greytfilly and Cooper Stakes runner-up Purrific.
