On Saturday Lady Louboutin will be ridden by apprentice hoop Sam Clipperton, aboard for her trial, from barrier four who gains a weight relief for the filly who will carry just 46kg after originally being allocated the 54kg minimum.
The 58kg top-weight is the David Payne-trained Regimental Pride, drawn nicely in barrier two with Glyn Schofield to ride, the More Than Ready colt having won one of their two starts back in October.
“Saturday will be telling us a lot of tales but I think next time around she’s going to be a lovely filly,” Quinton said of Lady Louboutin who will be the horseman’s first juvenile runner of the season.
One person riding on a gun debut from Lady Louboutin is eminent veterinarian Tim Roberts who hand- picked the filly, a $40,000 purchase at the Magic Millions Premier Sales who is part-owned by his wife Cheryl.
Mrs Roberts is one of three ladies who own Lady Louboutin and who is in for a share of a lucrative $500,000 bonus which will be allocated between the first four all-female owned horses to cross the finish line in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic 2013.
