2012 CB Cox Stakes Receives 21 Nominations

Nominations have been released for the Group 2 CB Cox Stakes at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday December 22, 2012.

21 horses have nominated for the $225,000 race, including rising star Mr Moet.

Mr Moet has enjoyed an impressive 2012, which saw him win his first Group 1 start in the $1 million Railway Stakes on November 24.

The five-year-old then went on to place a gallant second behind champion galloper Luckygray in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic at Ascot last weekend.

The Mosayter gelding has only finished outside the top three on one occasion during his 11 race starts this year, when fourth in the $45,000 Gourmet Indulgence Handicap in May.

Mr Moet has been allocated 59 kilograms for the 2012 CB Cox Stakes under the race’s weight-for-age conditions.

Also included in the 2012 CB Cox Stakes nominations is God Has Spoken, who placed third in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic last start.

God Has Spoken has won eight of his 24 race starts in total and has earned more than $1 million in prize money.

The Blackfriars entire is yet to win a race this year, however, has been in the finish on multiple occasions this campaign.

Playing God

Playing God is one of 21 horses to be nominated for the 2012 CB Cox Stakes on December 22.

Trained by Neville Parnham, the six-year-old will be out to win his first Group victory in the 2012 CB Cox Stakes.

Playing God, Pop Culture and Westriver Kevydonn are also amongst the 2012 CB Cox Stakes nominations.
