Dunaden Headlines 2012 Hong Kong Vase Final Field & Barriers

The 2012 Hong Kong Vase is due to run at Sha Tin Racecourse this Sunday December 9, 2012, and here you will find the latest final field and barrier draw information for the race.

13 horses will take part in the 2012 Hong Kong Vase, with Dunaden the current $3.50 favourite to take out the race at bookmaker.com.au.

Dunaden proved that he is in top form in his recent Australian campaign during the spring racing carnival.

Dunaden is favourite to win the 2012 Hong Kong Vase this Sunday at Sha Tin Racecourse.

The six-year-old won the Group 1 Caulfield Cup in impressive style before finishing an out of character 14th in the Melbourne Cup last start.

With his last run easily put down to his top weight of 59 kilograms, Dunaden will be at the top of his game as he attempts to defend his Hong Kong Vase title.

Also included in the 2012 Hong Kong Vase is Chinchon, who is paying odds of $17 at bookmaker.com.au.

Hinchon’s trainer, Carlos Laffon-Parias, believes the French galloper will be peaking for his 2012 Hong Kong Vase assignment.

“He’s well and relatively fresh, considering it is December,” Carlos Laffon-Parias remarked.

“I think he should go well but I thought Sea Moon looked particularly well and he’ll be a big danger.

“Chinchon is versatile, he’s won going left handed at Saint-Cloud, in America and in Singapore, but he’s won on right handed tracks too.”

Chincon finished fifth in his most recent start in the Group 2 Prix Du Conseil De Paris on October 21, 2012.
