2012 Recognition Stakes – Nominations Announced

Biggles is one of 11 horses nominated for the Listed Recognition Stakes, which is scheduled to take place at Eagle Farm Racecourse this Saturday December 1, 2012.

The four-year-old has won five of his 16 race starts and has earned more than $210,000 in prize money.

Biggles placed second in the Listed Beach House Bar & Grill Handicap at Eagle Farm behind Jet Style last start.

Prior to that run, Biggles won an $80,000 Handicap at the same track on November 3, 2012.

The Jet Spur gelding will be having his fourth start this preparation when he lines up for the 2012 Recognition Stakes this weekend.

Trained by Noel Doyle at the Gold Coast, Biggles already has a victory in the Listed Hanachi Gold Edition Plate to his name.

Last start Listed winner Jet Style is also included in the 2012 Recognition Stakes nominations.

Jet Style has won eight of his 30 race starts and has earned more than $180,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

The Tycoon Ruler gelding has not had a break since July and will be having his 11th start for the preparation when he lines up for the 2012 Recognition Stakes.

Jet Style, who is trained by Donald Baker in Toowoomba, is well suited to the 1,600 metre distance of Saturday’s race.

Pepperwood and Fifteen Carat are also amongst the 2012 Recognition Stakes nominations.
