Ballarat Cup 2012 – Final Field & Barrier Draw

15 horses have accepted for a run in the Listed Ballarat Cup at Ballarat Racecourse this Sunday November 24, 2012.

Amongst the 2012 Ballarat Cup acceptances is Sertorius, who will be looking to continue his impressive winning streak in the race.

Sertorius has won all five of his race starts this campaign, with his most recent win being in the $100,000 Antler Luggage Handicap at Flemington Racecourse on November 10, 2012.

The Galileo gelding also claimed victory in the $150,000 Sale Cup two starts back over 1,600 metres in October.

Sertorius will have to contend with the widest barrier draw of 15 when he runs in the 2012 Ballarat Cup this weekend and will be ridden by jockey Ryan Maloney in the race.

The six-year-old has won four of her 35 race starts and has earned more than $485,000 in prize money.

Exceptionally has placed in her two most recent race runs, finishing third in the Group 3 Lexus Stakes before placing second in the Group 2 Zipping Classiclast start.

Shenzhou Steeds is one of 15 acceptors for the 2012 Ballarat Cup.

The Ekraar mare will be out to win her first race start since July, when she claimed victory in the $100,000 Banjo Patterson Series Final at Flemington.
