Sandown Guineas Day 2012 – Race Scratchings

Sandown Guineas Day is set to take place at Sandown Racecourse today November 17, 2012, with the first race due to jump at 12.15am (AEDT).

There have been just nine scratchings over the nine races on today’s card, with no horses being withdrawn from the 2012 Sandown Guineas or 2012 Zipping Classic.

However, both Over Quota and Veewap have been scratched from the Group 3 Sandown Stakes.

Over Quota has won nine of his 47 race starts and has earned more than $340,000 in prize money.

The Testa Rossa gelding placed sixth in the $150,000 Sale Cup last start, after finishing second in the Listed Seymour Cup the race before.

Veewap placed fifth in the Sale Cup last start and was looking to claim his 10th career win in the 2012 Sandown Stakes.
