Final Field & Barriers – 2012 Sandown Stakes

12 horses will take their place in the 2012 Sandown Stakes final field at Sandown Racecourse this Saturday, including Mahisara.

Mahisara won the $100,000 Headquarters Tavern Plate at Flemington Racecourse on Melbourne Cup Day last start.

The More Than Ready entire has claimed five wins from his 14 career starts and has earned just shy of $300,000 in prize money.

Mahisara will be out to post his third victory from four starts when he runs in the 2012 Sandown Stakes final field and barrier draw this weekend.

The four-year-old has drawn barrier seven for the 2012 Sandown Stakes and will be ridden by in-form jockey Craig Williams in the race.

Fellow runner Raspberries will be searching for her first spring victory when she lines up for the 2012 Sandown Stakes.

The Lonhromare has won seven of her 22 race starts and has earned more than $472,000 in prize money.


Raspberries will run in the 2012 Sandown Stakes this Saturday.

Raspberries’ most recent result was a sixth place in the Group 1 Myer Classic, where she finished behind winner Appearance by just one length.

The five-year-old will be dropping in grade for the 2012 Sandown Stakes and is a big chance to take out the $150,000 race.

Raspberries has drawn barrier three for the 2012 Sandown Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Kerrin McEvoy.
