Final Field & Barriers – 2012 Maribyrnong Plate

The final field and barrier draw has been announced for the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington racecourse this Saturday November 10, 2012.

A total of 12 two-year-olds have accepted to run in the $150,000 race, with only seven having had a previous race start.

Included in the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate final field is Crack A Roadie, who won the $150,000 Inglis Banner at Moonee Valley Racecourse on October 27, 2012.

The Charge Forward colt won the race by a nose ahead of Diva Dee, who is also included in the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate final field and barrier draw.

Crack A Roadie has drawn barrier 10 for the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate and will be ridden by jockey Craig Williams.

Also included in the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate is Excites Zelady, who won her only previous start in the $34,000 Sportingbet Plate at Morphettville Parks Racecourse last month.

The Excites gelding has won more than $21,000 in prize money so far, and will be looking to add to that when he runs in the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate this weekend.

Excites Zelady has drawn barrier four for the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate and will be ridden by jockey Amy Herrmann in the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate.

Citations and Wouldn’t It Be Nice are also included in the 2012 Maribyrnong Plate final field and barrier draw.
