2012 Carbine Club Stakes – Final Field & Barrier Draw

The final field and barrier draw has been announced for the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes, which will be the first race of Flemington’s Victoria Derby Day this Saturday November 3, 2012.

A total of 10 horses have accepted for the $250,000 race, including Peter Snowden’s Proverb.

Proverb has won two of his seven race starts and has earned more than $130,000 in prize money.

The Commands gelding won his most recent race starts in the Listed Dulcify Quality at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse.

Prior to that run, Proverb finished third in the Group 3 Spring Stakes in Newcastle behind Proisir.

The three-year-old has drawn barrier one for the 2012 Carbine Club Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Steven Arnold in the race.

Tatra will be out to rebound from his disappointing performance last start when he lines up in the 2012 Carbine Club Stakes.

Tatra

Tatra is set to run in the 2012 Carbine Club Stakes at Flemington Racecourse this Saturday.

The Hussonet colt placed 11th of 16 runners in the Listed UCI Stakes in his most recent run at Flemington Racecourse.

Prior to that run, Tatra won the Listed Ming Dynasty at Warwick Farm by a nose in front of fellow 2012 Carbine Club Stakes runner Proverb.

Tatra has won two of his nine race starts and has earned more than $175,000 in prize money.

The young colt will jump from barrier eight in the 2012 Carbine Club Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Kerrin McEvoy.

Real Stolle and Pronto Pronto are also included in the 2012 Carbine Club Stakes final field and barrier draw.
