Multiple Group 1 winner Mosheen is favourite to back up her Blazer Stakes win this weekend when she contests the Group 2 2012 Tristarc Stakes (1400m).
The four-year-old mare got her spring back on track with a strong win in the Blazer Stakes after previously failing in two starts when returning from a throat operation.
She is a $3.60 bookmaker.com.au favourite ahead of a classy field of mares, with Premiere Stakes winner Red Tracer the next best at $5.50.
The highly consistent Red Tracer has previously been thought of as a wet-tracker but showed she can perform in all conditions in the Premiere Stakes when winning by a length on a Good track at Randwick.
Trained by Chris Waller, the five-year-old has won nine of 20 starts and placed on another seven occasions.
Also high up in betting is Soft Sand, who is well regarded but will have to bounce back from two disappointing starts this spring.
The winner of four of 10 starts was beaten three lengths when fourth in the Sportingbet Sprint first-up before finishing ninth in the Blazer Stakes.
Two other runners fall under double figures, with the Darley-owned Raspberries and Australian Oaks winner Streama both being offered at $9.00.
Raspberries finished fourth in the Blazer Stakes in what was her first start since winning the Scone Cup in May while Streama will be having he first start in Melbourne and is coming off a sixth in the Premiere Stakes.
Others in the Tristarc Stakes market include the Gai Waterhouse-trained Miss Stellabelle ($14.00), the lightly-raced Lucky Penny ($18.00) and Group 1 winner Pear Tart ($19.00).
