Spring night racing begins at Moonee Valley tonight with a bumper eight-race card that features plenty of stars.
Among the card features is the Group 2 2012 Moir Stakes (1200m) that will see eight sprinters line up to compete for a share in $300,000.
Heading the market is classy Queensland sprinter Buffering ($2.70) with Joe Pride-trained speedster Tiger Tees the next best at $3.80.
The market suggests it could be a two horse race but there is quality amongst the rest of the field including dual Group 1 winner Atomic Force ($11.00) and consistent mare Platelet ($11.00) who has only missed a place once in 14 starts.

#2 Buffering $2.40
He may be running first-up against horses who have already begun their campaigns but the Queensland sprinter has a class edge.
Numerous placings behind Black Caviar and Hay List suggest this and he is a proven weight-for-age competitor.
The five-year-old performs well fresh and has the gun draw from barrier two meaning he won’t have to work to hard early to get on the fence and lead.
Two ultra consistent sprinters are being tipped to fill the placings here who have both kicked off their spring campaigns in terrific fashion.
Tiger Tees looks the only genuine threat to Buffering and is coming off a strong three-length win in the Concorde Stakes first-up.
His record of nine wins and three placings from 13 starts suggests he will be challenging the Queensland gun all the way to the line.
Platelet has also shown ability and the four-year-old mare showed she can match it with the boys in open company earlier this spring when placing in both Theshark.com.au Stakes and the Group 3 McEwen Stakes.
Quinella – Buffering/Tiger Tees.
The pair are the two stand out horses in the race and should be good enough to fill the top two spots.
