Moment Of Change

Moment Of Change is the current 2012 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes betting favourite

Due to jump at 3:50pm as Caulfield Race 6, this year’s edition of the $400,000 Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) has drawn a final field of 15 middle-distance gallopers.

Current favourite in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes odds at bookmaker.com.au is the Peter Moody-trained Moment Of Change paying $4 (out from $3.60) to win despite their extreme outside barrier 15 draw.

There are just three other single-figure chances in the markets for the Group 1 handicap with Mark Kavanagh’s last-start Group 3 Bobbie Lewis Quality winner We’re Gonna Rock, ($6.50), the Peter Snowden-trained Pinwheel ($7) who won back-to-back Group 3 races at Warwick Farm last month, and Rob Heathcote’s Brisbane raider Solzhenitsyn ($7.50) who has won their past four races.

But are these top four fancies really the ones to back in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes betting markets?

To save you time scrolling through the detailed Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes field, form guide and history the Races.com.au team of form experts have done the hard work for you compiling a must know list of essential facts and stats on the classic to check out before you place your bets.
