Murwillumbah trainer Matthew Dunn is looking...
One of the six black type features on the Rosehill race card this Saturday will be the Dulcify Quality 2012 where two three-year-olds are currently battling for favouritism in a tight betting market.
Just seven horses remain in the $100,000 Listed Dulcify Quality Handicap (1900m) this year following the early scratching of #2 Trophies who instead will take on Golden Rose runner-up Albrecht in the $250,000 Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m).
Current favourite in the Dulcify Quality Handicap betting markets is Proverb at a quote of $2.25 through bookmaker.com.au, the Peter Snowden-trained Commands gelding to get the inside run from barrier one.
Proverb is out for their first win since their successful debut back in March, the progressive youngster third-up for the season here after a close second in the Listed Ming Dynasty (1400m) first-up on September 8 before their last start third behind Spring Champion Stakes favourite Proisir in the Group 3 Spring Stakes (1600m) at Newcastle last week.
Following very closely in the Dulcify Quality Handicap odds at $2.30 is then early market mover Indianapolis now into $2.30.
The punters are backing everything from the Gai Waterhouse stable this Saturday with the trainer getting set to saddle-up three odds-on favourites at the meeting including More Joyous in the Golden Pendant.
Redoute’s Choice three-year-old Indianapolis hasn’t been excluded from this Waterhouse mad craze from the punters, the lightly-raced hopeful coming off a big five and a half length win over the Wyong mile from September 12.
The two other single-figure chances are then the Anthony Cummings-trained Ireland’s Teardrop ($7) who also comes off an impressive Wyong win having won over 2100m in a benchmark 68 by three lengths, and David Payne’s last-start Canterbury winner Laser Flash ($9).
